Are you an experienced practice accountant able to do accounts with limited supervision? Do you want to work in a relaxed, friendly yet hard working team? This is a permanent full time position although part time will be considered, paying up to £38k pa pro rata depending upon experience. Part Qualified and Study support considered. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, working in a relaxed, friendly but hard- working environment with great team support. Standard full time is 35 hour week 9-5 M-F, can be flexible on hours. If full time, hybrid working with 2 days a week at home.
Your daily duties will include:
• Preparation of clients’ accounts and corporation tax computations
• Communicating with clients
• Must be flexible to meet client/department needs and deadlines
• Using Xero/CCH to prepare accounts
• Ensuring accounts are filed at Companies House before the deadline
Experience required:
• AAT qualified or qualified by experience to same standard with a strong practice background
• Kashflow and CCH./Xero experience ideally but training can be given if other IT accounting packages have been used
• Very good Excel knowledge and experience
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Good organisational skills
• The ability to maintain confidentiality
• Excellent attention to detail as well as clear and logical thinking
• Good communication skills, particularly whilst using the telephone
• Ability to work to targets and deadlines
• HMRC compliance/awareness
• Good at problem solving
• Polite and professional demeanour
• An ability to work effectively with people across a wide range of levels and responsibilities
• Ability to be self-motivated and work with minimum supervision
